A Little Story…

One day I was feeling pretty sad. In an uncontrollable way. I wasn't sure why….maybe it was hormones…maybe I was just emotional because I was beginning a new part of my life. Alone. Well, anyways I had cried off and on that morning, even while I was showering. Then, my loving boyfriend and I went out to dinner - which was delicious. On the way back to my dorm, sitting in the passenger’s seat, I felt hopeful. I felt happy and content and maybe it was from the coffee I had…or maybe I was filled with new hope. Whatever it was, I turned and looked out the window, and very faintly in the sky… I saw a rainbow. I felt my heart lift - sometimes the universe gives you signs — this was a new time of change for me, but just like a rainbow its leading somewhere (I have no idea where) but there will be something beautiful at the end. This was a little reminder to me that even if you feel sad and lost and that you aren’t enough, you can just take some time away from the sadness and see what the world has to offer you.
